Description
Formally described in 2021, the Stegouros lived in southern Chile approximately 75 million years ago in the Late Cretaceous period. It belonged to the ankylosaur family, a group of armoured herbivorous dinosaurs, and grew up to two metres long.
The Stegouros had a large, heavy tail which resembled a macuahuitl, a club used by Atzec warriors. This deluxe model has been positioned to look like the Stegouros is about to whip its tail weapon in defence against a looming predator.
